Frequently asked questions
TruePrivacy uses a Service Account with domain-wide delegation and specific OAuth scopes for each Workspace service (Drive, Gmail, Contacts, etc.). A Google Workspace Super Admin must authorize the service account during setup. We provide a detailed setup guide for this configuration.
TruePrivacy can scan Gmail for personal data patterns when explicitly authorized. This is typically used for discovering employee data for HR compliance rather than customer data. Only the configured service account — not TruePrivacy staff — can access message content.
